Fat dissolving injections (lipolysis)
Content
Description
Injection lipolysis (fat dissolving injenctions or non-invasive liposuction) is a procedure in which an enzymatic substance that dissolves fat (deoxycholic acid) is injected into the problem areas.
This substance then dissolves the fat tissue and activates the the body's response and triggers fibrotization.
Facts
- Local anesthesia
- Outpatient procedure
- Procedure lasts 30 minutes
- Recovery in 2 days
Good candidate:
- This procedure is excellent for the removal of lipomas, cellulite, double chin and areas with a small stubborn excess of fat (fat in the cheek area, fatty deposits in the thighs, inside the knees and unevenness after liposuction).
Poor candidate:
- Injection lipolysis is not intended for overall weight reduction, children or pregnant women.
- Since the substance intended for dissolving fat tissue is made from soybeans (soy lecithin), it is not suitable for people with allergies.
It is recommended to undergo several sessions (usually 3 applications) with an interval of 2 months.
The procedure can cause gentle redness, itching, swelling and bruising, but it will disappear on its own within 2 days.
